While death is a natural part of a life cycle, the process doesn’t make it any less difficult. When a loved one is nearing the end stages of life, many families seek end of life home caregiving to help manage their discomfort and provide the best possible quality of life in their final days. As this is an emotionally and physically difficult time for all involved, The Care Club strives to ensure the in-home care and comfort they receive is provided with the highest level of compassion and dignity.
Hospice care is for individuals who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and are certified as having a life expectancy of six months or less. While our home caregiving program does not include hospice care, our caregivers can work alongside and support the hospice team. We will also support you and your family, providing a helping hand whenever you need one. At this stage, in-home care is focused on comfort, not recovery. There are numerous benefits for patients who receive end of life home caregiving, including the ability to remain in a familiar and comfortable setting. Our highly trained caregivers can assist with personal tasks such as bathing, dressing and daily hygiene and provide emotional support to minimize stress and anxiety.
At the same time, The Care Club ensures that family members and friends get the respite and assistance they need during this difficult time.
When a loved one passes, the last thing you feel like doing is housekeeping and making after-life plans. As part of our after-life in-home caregiving program, The Care Club can provide home clean-outs and assist with funeral or memorial planning.
